guitar pop? soft synth key tracks? AND an electro banger?

today's a bit more varied with the picks. these are some of my top picks from a few different moods.

Alrighty Aphrodite by Peach Pit #

i'm a long-time adorer of Peach Pit and the way they mix soft vocals with soulful guitar and addictive basslines. this has been one of my favorite tracks for a long time and it has persistently stayed that way for several years now. the track starts with a stripped-back drum- and bassline that carries through the whole track.

galore by Oklou #

this track introduced me to Oklou, as well as her cover of A. G. Cook's Being Harsh. it starts with a really nice soft-yet-deep sounding synth line. there are occasional equally soft bells heard through the track. all those sounds layered with Oklou's supersoft vocals makes for an addictively simple track. (notice how i didn't mention drums? there are none. just synths and vocals.)

Солд аут by Cream Soda #

an incredible dance track by Russian group Cream Soda. wobbles, wubs, arpeggio, a gliding bassline, and brain-scratching sound effects have this track feeling so lively and groovy. it culminates in a super glitchy outro that somehow makes me to want to replay it.
